Top Events

A table of the top 15 events by event count. Uses the eventName dimension from GA4. Includes both automatically-collected events and any custom events you've set up.

Common GA4 Events

GA4 automatically tracks these events:

Acquisition

The Acquisition section shows how users find your site through different channels. This combines data from traffic sources, channel groupings, and top referrers to give you a complete picture of user acquisition.

Traffic Sources

Specific source names (e.g., google, facebook.com, newsletter). Top 10 by sessions.

Channel Grouping

Higher-level categories (Organic Search, Direct, Social, Referral, Paid Search). Shows session distribution.

Top Referrers

Websites that link to your site. Top 10 external URLs driving traffic.

Events insight: If you've set up custom events in GA4 (like button clicks, video plays, or purchases), they'll appear in this list alongside the automatically tracked events. This makes it easy to monitor your custom conversion events directly from Sanity Studio.
